Three of our films and four “in a foreign language”: Friday, the country of miracles, the day of elections 2, the moon scam, an incredible fear of everything (which I already wrote about), the latest Testament and visit. And one smallest trailer.

I will say right away that not a single film caused disgust or at least the fraction of the negativity. Most of them more often shocked that for me a huge plus.

Cinema has become too boring lately. There are evil characters (everything is usually boring here. It is difficult to come up with a high -quality villain today, because the main task is to install contact the main character – a watching that people put themselves in his place and dream. And who wants to be a villain? No, there are exceptions, but this is in those cases when they either film something old, or the main character is a villain), but there are good. With good, a much wider color palette: here you have a tired old man who will save the family from the mistakes of the past/errors stupid children, and stupid greetings from the 90s (I love old cinema. When they took off their original things without technology, and then stole ideas from others and took off even cooler. But this is my past on which I have grown. But not cinema does not live uniform characters. You can put people in a location, give them a text, add a couple of incidents/cataclysms and get a story. But if you repeat the same thing from time to time, then sooner or later the viewer will be saturated. Then you can steal something popular among others, dilute your own and get a good cocktail. But there is a problem. Sooner or later, the industry will turn (op-pa, this has already happened) in the coup of other people’s jokes, which are already ten years old. The scenery is changing, the situations are changing, but you always know what will happen. And even if you are surprised, then only because the hero acts illogical. His character changes dramatically. But why? It seems to you that you need to promote to be good, not a selfish asshole? No, the thought is true, but is it not better to show at least not the worst people to initially, so that they would “do good” under the way? This is one of the reasons why I rarely watch TV shows. Especially modern. Especially ours. But I am a naive fool who is hopefully await the success of the second Russian remake of Dr. House (one of my two favorite series).

So. So we got to a little opinion about the films seen.

All three domestic films – comedies. But I laughed very, very rarely. Did not grunt, but really laughed. Less than ten times for three comedies – this is very bad.

Where there are no bastards, but everyone has the reasons for them to be. Someone is afraid, someone is so easier, someone is used to it, but they should face a real problem, how all this goes into the background and they become ordinary defenseless people who should decide something here and now, so as not to hate themselves for the lost opportunity. And they cope. We also dream about it, is it not so? But not only the story pleases, but the picture. The approach to the director was very pleased. I would not say that the comparison with Wright is true, but is not meaningless.

Wonderland manages and not to be a comedy at all. The presence of jokes does not determine the genre, but is a tool. And yes. If there were several heroes on Friday, but sometimes they at least somehow contacted each other, adjusting their vectors, then the contact was contact once for the entire film (not counting the credits), but it did not affect anything. And yes. The stories themselves are quite interesting, but there is definitely nothing to laugh at (not counting a pair of scenes at the quartet). As a comedy, the film did not realize himself. As a kind New Year’s story about miracles – no. No, no, no. Where is kindness? In the final of the story about the cop (I don’t even know who the biggest bastard is here)? Again, Dobronravov and the Quartet at least really show the story of a small, indoor miracle, but the rest … This is a nightmare. But the movie is not bad, except for this New Year’s comedy. The point is positioning. And it was bad in the advertising campaign.

Elections 2. This is a typical quartet. Familiar faces, familiar characters, familiar, sorry, fucked with serious faces. We need to say something at all? Unless they reached the level of the original and the “spin-offs”, if you allow you to call the radio and men (the first). And the divine rabbits? After such films, you begin to love the theater.

Lunar scam. I saw a trailer, I heard that this is a continuous drug addiction, but I was not ready to see a whole picture. It’s not even a common nightmare, but an unexpectedly steep action that made me suffer from Wright Syndrome, only this time I suspected that the film was shot not by Engar Wright, but Zack Snyder. With such love, only he puts. And Tarantino. But the second does not use the slush in such quantities. A chic film, a chic game of the intimidated Rupert Grint and the tired Ron Perelman. Well, the action. It was something. I took off again a beginner who has nothing behind me, if you believe the movie.

The latest Testament. It was positioned as a comedy, but in reality a parable about a little girl who learns the world through seven strangers with each other. Not all of them are normal at least half, so everything happens against the backdrop of an unprecedented cataclysm and world depression. However, people, or rather, new apostles, are shown by children locked in adult bodies. And children are not evil by nature, if they do not prove to them the opposite. And therefore, everyone comes to the finale is much happier than they were before dating. Unless the finale turned out to be somewhat sugary due to the general … abnormality of the changed world, but the stories themselves, their presentation and characters are simply amazing.

And finally, Visit. M. Knight, his mother by the leg, Shyamalan. I do not share most of the criticism in his direction, and he has experienced a lot of metamorphosis in recent years. In this cinema, I did not notice anything Shyamalanovsky at all, except for the approach to the plot, and then everything is not as bad as it could be. Even very good. I even liked the horror movie where I laughed a couple of times. Sometimes a dissonance simply happens between the thing that could be in other decorations of the same locations with other characters, and what really happens. Well done, Knight. Really well done.

How could I forget about Tusk. Kevin Smith is slowly returning, only now with the trilogy of northern horrors. Yes, this is still a comedy, but contextual. People really do not try to joke, lead very rich dialogs, as is the Smith and Tarantino, but it’s ridiculous to watch how people with stone faces say this, excuse me, fucked. Plus picture. I advise you to know anything about the film, including it. But even after watching the trailer, even knowing the idea, even knowing the reaction of the friends who saw him before, I was not ready to see what Kevin prepared for us. If you like the mixture of thriller (yes, context is a horror film, but the thriller Chuuuut is closer, as I think) and comedy, then you are here.

This should be an independent movie. Shocking and intriguing even at the trailer stage, and you do not even know what it is after watching this video. I am afraid that the film may not be as cool as a trailer, but I am preparing for a much more calm narrative. To the drama, to dialogues and other chips, which were not devoted to the time in the trailer.

As a result, I want to say that mass cinema less and less give what promises. The same country of the Wonders positioned itself incorrectly, because the New Year’s cinema could not be not a comedy in our country, the covenant also for some reason seemed to be a fence comedy, but turned out to be a rather deep film. That’s why I like to find something new that they advertise little and enjoy unexpected things.
